Garlic in ALL the things. I've been using tarragon more often lately too. We also use a lot of cumin.

I put garlic on everything, cumin goes on 80% of our dishes and I LOVE cilantro!

I think you have to go a totally different direction from barbecue sauce for that. Chicken is wonderful marinating in yogurt - plain or with any flavors you like such as garlic, herbs, lemon, ginger, curry blends, spices, etc.
